Teachers learning from other teachers…
It's game day for your Mayflower Eagles! Come out tonight and support your Eagles as they take on the Perryville Mustangs in this year's benefit game! Jr High starts at 6:00pm and Sr. High begins at 7:00pm. Go Eagles!
Important Bus Information:
School starts on Tuesday, Aug. 23. All students planning to ride the bus will need to be at their designated pick up location 25 minutes earlier than last year's pick up time. In the afternoon, buses will pick up elementary students at 4:10pm, middle school at 4:15pm, and high school at 4:20pm. Please be patient with our drivers and staff as we get into a routine and can better estimate when students will arrive home.
Welcome our new Mayflower Teachers and Staff for 2022! Go Eagles!
A huge thanks to Project 8 for donating school supplies for our students. What a great way to start the year! Thank you for all your time and hard work! We appreciate you!
What a great looking group of Mayflower Elementary Teachers and Staff! We are excited to see all our students soon!
MMS is proud to announce that our very own Mr. Jim White was selected as the Mayflower School District Employee of the Year! Mr. Jim is our resident maintenance man, Mr. Fix-It, Jack of all trades, and master of all trades! All that he does is with excellence and with a smile. He takes pride in his work and he keeps our building in tip-top shape. Mr. Jim is pictured receiving his award from
MSD Superintendent Mr. Chisum. Congratulations on a job well done!
Important 2022-23 Breakfast and Lunch Information:
For the past two years, every Mayflower student has eaten breakfast and lunch for free due to federal funding. Unfortunately, the funding to provide free meals to all students ran out this summer. This year the cost for breakfast will be $2.00 per student, and the cost of lunch will be $3.00 for elementary students and $3.25 for middle and high school students.
We encourage all families to complete the free/reduced lunch application (even if you think you may not qualify). Simply completing the application helps the school district. You can find the application here: https://family.titank12.com/application/new?lang=English
Thank you to our community partners: First Security Bank and Living Truth Church for generously providing breakfast and lunch for all the Mayflower Teachers and Staff! Thank you for your support!
Congratulations to Teri Pease for her recognition as Mayflower High School’s Teacher of the Year for the 2021-2022 school year. MHS appreciates her efforts for our students, teachers, and staff. Thank you Mrs. Pease!
Congratulations to our 2022 Mayflower Teachers and Staff Member of the Year! Thanks you to these amazing individuals who go above and beyond for our students!
What a great day to be an Eagle! Excited to have teachers and staff back on campus for professional development today! A big thanks to all the people who help make Mayflower such an amazing place for kids!
What a great day to be an Eagle! Excited to welcome our new teachers at new teacher orientation! Welcome to Mayflower!
We recently asked for your need for Monday Care, and we appreciate your feedback. There were several questions about Monday Care in the survey responses, which is understandable as it will be new to us all this year. Based on questions from the survey, an FAQ document was developed to help answer many of your questions.
You can access the FAQ at the following link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PnYy9Sa1GvKU73OZTWJ70Wfa8Kg8lrufg4ARFNIs__M/edit?usp=sharing

This request for input is being shared with stakeholders from ForwARd Arkansas.
ForwARd Arkansas is a nonprofit focused on the state-wide improvement of education in Arkansas.
Earlier this summer, Forward launched a new project, in partnership with DESE, called the "State of Education in Arkansas."
If you'd be willing, we would love to have your input and voice as a part of this project.
Over the next many months, we will be coordinating an extensive effort to gather as much input as possible from district leaders, school leaders, educators, and families across Arkansas. Our plan is that this project will lead to a report that elevates:
Where the state has made progress in education over the last 5 years
Where we are currently, especially in light of the COVID pandemic
Critical education priorities for the next 5 years informed by those in districts, schools, and communities
We have launched a brief survey (5 to 7 mins) that is appropriate for any stakeholder.
We hope you'll join us in this process. Thanks for your consideration!
