Mrs. Cockerham's fifth graders are learning about volume by building prisms. This hands on experience helps students see that volume is three dimensions. How many different rectangular prisms can you build with 24 cubes?

Thank you for a fabulous first day! We appreciate your patience with the city traffic changes as well. THREE THINGS: 1. Students will walk themselves to classes beginning tomorrow. We will have plenty of staff on hand to assist students in finding their classrooms. 2. If you are picking up or dropping off, please form two lanes of traffic once you turn onto Railroad. 1-4 traffic will be in the left lane. Kindergarten traffic will be in the right lane. 3. Please complete and return all forms as soon as possible. It is critical that all families complete the lunch form even if you plan on your child bringing their lunch. We receive our school funding based on completion of these forms. Thank you! We'll see you tomorrow!
